Walk One: Hamilton Gardens
It all started by getting our topic books and putting them in our bags. We had decided to do some sketches of some of the plants so we brought along pencils and pens to sketch with. We set off from the hall steps and walked along Cambridge Road and looked at all the horses and hoped that the trucks would toot.
Finally we were at the entrance of the Hamilton Gardens and as we set off into the Cultural Gardens. We ventured through the Chinese Gardens, stared at the Indian and Tropical Gardens' bright colors, and unexpectedly concluded at the Japanese Gardens due to a heavy rainfall. At the Gardens we were thinking about four things: What type of soil is it? What temperature is it? How much light does it need? How much water does it need? 'it will be over soon,' "BOOM!" goes the thunder, and we run to cover. we decide to go to either the Indian garden or the Japanese Garden to do our sketches of plants or trees.Halfway through we saw an eel (Tuna in Maori) when we finished and got to school it started pouring of rain.We feel sorry for who ever is walking home. |
